A new website for the Bloomsbury SET

« Back to all posts

When a consortium led by The Royal Veterinary College (RVC) received a £5 million government grant, it turned to V Formation for support in developing an engaging website to reach key stakeholders.

What is the Bloomsbury SET?

Named the Bloomsbury SET (science, economics, technology), the consortium was formed to connect capability to combat the threat from infectious disease and antimicrobial resistance, focusing on the development of low-cost, portable diagnostic tools. It also aims to develop new vaccines for livestock, and to model the spread and persistence of disease in livestock and humans, whilst testing whether public health interventions in developing countries are acceptable socially, economically and politically.

The Bloomsbury SET aims to:

– lead to major human health benefits
– make improvements in animal health, welfare and productivity
– improve biosecurity and food safety
– facilitate innovation and productivity within business
– shape public health policies and practices.

Supported by Research England’s Connecting Capabilities Fund, this programme has established an innovation platform that connects the capabilities of The Royal Veterinary College, London International Development Centre, The London School of Economics and Political Science, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and SOAS University of London.

The Bloomsbury SET website brief

The brief was straightforward – to provide a platform to promote the consortium, highlight grants available, share news of projects supported by the grants and advertise forthcoming events.

In terms of design, the website is centred about the Bloomsbury ‘petal’ logo, which incorporates the house colours of the four partner colleges.

The result, an eye-catching yet simple to navigate website.
