“There is so much to being an intern at V Formation. It isn’t just standing at the photocopier and making hot drinks. It’s a way to fill the gaps in your experience, form new valuable networking relationships and apply yourself to a field and see if it is something that suits you. My 10-week internship allowed me to plunge myself into the world of marketing, I gained so much experience in many areas and knowledge that I still use to this day.”

“The ‘hands-on,’ dynamic nature to the internship enabled me to gain practical experience of all things PR, from writing press releases and online blogs to preparing comprehensive media lists and issuing stories to publications. With the support of the team at V, I developed my knowledge of their growing client base, assisting me in adopting the most appropriate tone of voice when producing written content for businesses and learning what makes a good story.”

“In 2019, I joined V Formation on a 12-week placement as a PR Intern, having graduated from NTU with a degree in English with Creative Writing. During my internship, I took on a wide range of responsibilities, including PR and media liaison, working with photographers, and developing content for client websites, blogs, and social media. I was given the opportunity to try lots of different things, but I’m most proud of being part of a research project that looked at women in business and the challenges they face. I was involved right from the start of my placement and saw it through to the end, helping to write the final report.”

“The experience has provided me with a level of insight into and knowledge of digital media which others may be unfamiliar with, and has not only provided me with mentors in the industry, but also the opportunity to explore the sector further in my future career. Following my time at V Formation, I feel certain I will work efficiently and competently in future work placements since I have gained so much knowledge and many transferrable skills relating to media and marketing. I plan to explore more opportunities like this in advertising, film and media.”
