The Generation Gap team of four rowers have completed the epic 3000-mile non-stop Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge in 45 days and 21 hours, and set two world records for the first-ever father and daughter duo and the first Spanish woman to row any ocean.
The team finished in eighth place out of 21 teams, including 10 other fours – and arrived in Antigua in the early hours of the 27th January 2021 after leaving La Gomera on 12 December 2020.

Generation Gap – a name chosen in recognition of the 31-year age gap between its oldest and youngest members – comprises of father and daughter duo Brittany Staniforth (27) and Roger Staniforth (59), and their friends Victoria Micó Egea (30), Edward Raymont (29). 
During their crossing, couple Ed and Victoria got engaged – with no rings, they improvised with a piece of ribbon and a cable tie.
The team took on the challenge to raise a target £100,000 to be shared by their four chosen charities: Mind, The Royal Marines Charity, Rural Assistance Nepal and Women’s Aid.
