The ERP Today event story so far

Paul Esherwood, CEO of ERP Today – a multi-media publishing company dedicated to enterprise technology – approached V Formation with an ambitious vision to bring the ERP community together to support the NHS after an extremely difficult 18 months. That vision became a reality in 2021 when we delivered the inaugural ERP Today Awards and Fundraiser at Ascot Racecourse, marking the start of a multi-year partnership between ERP Today and NHS Charities Together. It was an action-packed day with fun activities, games, music and an awards ceremony, supported by 20 of the world’s leading technology companies. More than 1,000 guests attended as well as 100 NHS workers. V Formation project managed the event from start to finish, from planning and branding, managing suppliers, sponsor liaison and the awards structure through to on-the-day practical support including media, guest management and live social media coverage.

V Formation and ERP Today reunited in 2022 to bring the second edition of the Awards and Fundraiser back to Ascot Racecourse – a bigger and better outdoor event than the first! Again, we project managed the whole process, this time with more activities, an executive luncheon and an after party. Guest numbers more than doubled from the first year with nearly 3,000 tech execs and NHS staff in attendance.

The trilogy event

September 2023 marked the trilogy event for the ERP Today Awards and Fundraiser, with the awards element this year presented by comedian Jo Brand. V Formation once again helped the ERP Today team to host a festival-style event for the ERP community and members of the NHS at Ascot Racecourse. With an established blue-print in place from the previous two successful events, we worked closely with the ERP Today team to provide on-the-day preparations, support and direction.

V Formation managed the branding, suppliers, awards proceedings, videography and photography as well as looked after our VIP guest and ensured a seamless and unforgettable guest experience from welcoming people as they arrived at the racecourse to transporting them safely back to the after party.

Fundraising for the NHS

We are thrilled that the initiative has grown into an annual fixture and delighted that it is achieving its purpose – raising vital funds to support the NHS through its charity arm, NHS Charities Together. So far the ERP Today Awards and Fundraiser has raised more than £300,000 and we feel privileged to have played a part in delivering that.
